I’m currently working on a book for Little, Brown Books for Young Readers about the extraordinary pen pal relationship between Caitlin, a 12-year-old American girl, and Martin, a 14-year-old Zimbabwean boy, which changed both lives forever. My first book, The Kids Are All Right (Harmony 2009; Three Rivers Press 2011), co-written with my sister Diana, is about more about sibling love than losing our parents too young.
